Arcadia has no shortage of nice restaurants. What it didn't have was a bar where you could walk in without dressing for it, order a beer that isn't $11, and actually hear the person next to you talk. That's the gap we filled.
The room leans a little Midwestern — unpretentious, a bit worn-in, more interested in pouring you a good drink than upselling you on one. If that sounds unremarkable, good. That's the point.
Two minutes off Indian School Rd, tucked between the everyday errands and the Biltmore next door — easy to find, easier to stay a while.
There's a reason the guy watching over the bar looks so at home — and a couple of quieter references scattered around the room if you know where to look. We're not pointing them out. That's half the fun.
